Sculpting a New World:
Exciting New Art Exhibit at Ester Allen Greer Museum
The University of Rio Grande and the staff of the Ester Allen Greer Museum would like to announce their new exhibit. The exhibit features such artists as Carolyn Baginski, Mahlon Huston, and Robert “Boomer” Moore. All of the work that is exhibited is sculpture, and the differences between the artists’ approaches seem very distinct. While works like Carolyn Baginski’s “Ode to Barbaro” seem neutral and docile, works like Robert Moore seem to be edgy and dark. Although the artists are still students, they have appeared to have already developed an unusual amount of skill. They have also developed a voice and a distinct style. Anyone with an interest in sculpture and art should really enjoy this exhibit. The exhibit will be featured in the Ester Allen Greer Museum at the University of Rio Grande. The exhibit will be shown throughout the month of October, and the museum will be open Tuesday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm. If you have any questions feel free to contact the Fine Arts department at the University of Rio Grande.
