Event-Art Exhibit

The University of Rio Grande's Ester Allen Greer museum is having an art exhibit now through Dec. 15. The works were created by Marshall University's faculty and students. A majority of the exhibit is made up of illustrative pieces. A personal favorite of mine is the Three Stooges piece. The hours of the gallery are Tues through Sat 1pm-5pm.

Event-Concert

I attended the University of Rio Grande's Rock Ensemble performance that took place Nov. 27. The performance took place at the Berry Fine and Performing Arts Center and was directed by faculty member Dr. Chris Kenney. The band performed works by such artists as The Yardbirds, Frank Zappa, The Grateful Dead, The Jam, and last but not least Jimi Hendrix. It was interesting because the members of the band would switch off on the guitar. If anyone is interested, the Rock Ensemble group will probably be having a performance this spring.
